I received my Ph.D. from the Department of Instrumentation and Applied Physics and Centre for Nano Science and Engineering (CeNSE), Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore during 2015. I finished my M.Sc. in Physics from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati (2007) and B.Sc. (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur (2005). I was worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Centre for NanoScience and Engineering, IISc Bangalore, India for around three years from 2014 to 2017 prior to joining IIT Madras.

  • Nanoscale Quantum devices: Device design, fabrication, device physics and engineering, and Multi-functional thin films synthesis, properties and devices.
  • Novel Materials: 2D Materials, Nanoscale high-k dielectrics and ferroelectrics.
  • Nanoelectronic, optoelectronic and ferroelectric memory devices for in-memory computing.
  • Study the polarization induced switching mechanism in ferroelectric gated 2D Material devices for low power non-volatile memory, electronic and optoelectronic applications.
  • Exploration of Quantum functionalities and devices with 2D semiconductors and diamond thin films (Qubits based on color centers, Superconducting Qubits, Single Nanowire Single Photon Detectors (SNSPDs)).
  • Develop the nanoscale thin films for Quantum electronic and optoelectronic applications.

  • Winning team member of DARE to DREAM 2.0 innovation contest (October 4, 2021). Our proposal entitled “ Diamond based MEMS acoustic vector sensor“ under the problem domain of "Underwater MEMS Acoustic Vector Sensor“ has been selected as Winner for “Dare to Dream 2.0" innovation contest by DRDO.
