Thick forest patches are becoming rare with more and more area being used for various constructions including buildings, roads, pipe and cable laying projects etc. However, there are few areas (link to map) in the campus which has true serenity of forest patches. These are the true sacred groves of the campus which need protection against further damages. These areas have a typical three/multi storied forest structure with tall trees forming the canopy, an intermediate layer of bushes and climbers smaller plants at the ground level. Quite a number of native wild trees and plants are seen in these areas.
