Current Work:
The objective of my work is design and development of an evanescent wave absorbance based fiber optic sensor. The depth of penetration of evanescent waves is high in U bent fiber optic probes. For fabrication of U bent probes, Plastic optical fiber (POF) could be a better alternative. The study is focused on developing U bent POF probe for chemical and biosensing especially nucleic acids.
