Pre-requisites :

The student has not attended any other course of a similar nature (this being an elementary course).

Time and Place :

Slot C : HSB 265 : M 10 a.m.-10:50 a.m. , T 9:00 a.m.-9:50 a.m., W 8:00 a.m.-8:50 a.m.

Contents and Text Book :

Any textbook on elementary probability and statistics will cover the contents of the course, which are mentioned here. Some textbooks which will have the mentioned contents are Probability and Statistics for Engineers, Mathematical Statistics with Applications and Fundamentals of Statistics. A slightly different text than the above ones is Introduction to Probability (2nd edition) by Bertsekas and Tsitsiklis.

Extra class/Tutorial (you will be informed if and when required) : F 12 p.m.-12:50 a.m.

I may modify the course contents depending on audience feedback and interest.
