(Elementary Linear Algebra)

The aim of this class was to learn basic linear algebra. We followed the textbook Elementary Linear Algebra by Howard Anton, (10th edition). The syllabus covered very basic notions of matrices, elementary row and column operations, echelon forms, determinants, invertibility, etc. and subsequently the notions of abstract vector spaces, and the related notions of subspaces, row spaces, column spaces, null spaces, linear independence, spans, dimension, etc. The course ended with examples of computing eigen values and vectors.

The class comprised of 44 undergraduate students. The class met on MWF from 9 to 9:50 a.m.
