Droplet Evaporation

The above video shows the evaporation of UWS (Urea water solution) droplet evaporation at different ambient temperature. This experiments are motivated by the application of using UWS in Selecetive catalytic reduction (SCR) of NOx (oxides of notrogen) at engine exhaust.

The above video shows the flow induced around an evaporating ethanol droplet at atmospheric ambient conditions with different gases. With most of the gases significant natural convection is observed in the ambient. Only for SF6 (high molecular weight), the ambient convection is insignificant.
