SMART MATERIAL CHARACTERIZATION LAB
The Smart Material Characterization (SMC) Lab is an integral part of the Department of Applied Mechanics at IIT Madras. We focus on modeling and experimental characterization of smart/active materials, composites and biomaterials. Presently, the lab is equipped with state-of-the-art electrical, mechanical, thermal and magnetic material characterization and computational facilities.
