Welcome to Graphene & 2D Systems Lab!
Our group investigates the exotic properties of graphene and 2D systems spanning electrical, thermal, spectroscopic and mechanical properties. Some of the interesting physics questions pursued include how twisting atomic thin layers changes heat flow, controlling the shape of monolayer graphene membranes, and transport of molecules and ions through 2D materials like graphene oxide and hBN. Our group has also worked on developing technologies such as graphene heat spreaders, graphene and hBN based ultralight thermal superinsulators for exteme thermal environments, graphene water technologies including filtration and atmospheric water harvesting, strain sensors, ultrasensitive breath analyzers and vapour sensors, and many more.
