Dr. Ilaksh Adlakha is an Assistant Professor in the Applied Mechanics department at Indian Institute of Technology Madras. Ilaksh completed his PhD from Arizona State University (2015) with Prof. Solanki, where he focused on examining hydrogen embrittlement phenomenon in Fe using a multi scale perspective. During his post-doc, he worked on stress assisted corrosion and investigated the interplay between the various phenomena by combining experimental and modeling observations. He has co-authored 19 journal articles and > 25 international conference presentations. Furthermore, he has published in reputed international journals, such as Proceeding of Royal Society, Acta Materialia, Scripta Materialia, Corrosion Science and Nature: Scientific Report.
Dr. Geetisubhra Jena joined the research group as Postdoctoral researcher in October 2021. She completed her PhD from Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam, (2021) with Prof. John Philip, where she focused on developing various graphene oxide based composite coatings with improved corrosion resistance and antibacterial properties. She has co-authored 8 journal articles and attended 7 national and international conferences. Her research interests are surface modifications, corrosion resistant coatings development, surface characterizations, and electrochemical characteristic assessment.
