It is a butterfly of hilly regions and found upto 2000m in the hills. It is mostly found in areas of heavy rainfall. It is a weak flier compared to other Tigers. It is a known migrant and frequents damp patches ocassionallly. It can be seen visiting flowers of Lantana, Crotalaria sp, etc.
